Matasanos

 

Takeoff (Medium):

The owner of this area has created a nice takeoff site covered by grass for hangliders and paragliders right next to a restaurant. Take off is easy with the  consistent headwind.

 

Flight:

​

With good thermal conditions reaching cloudbase is easy. With the abundant thermals it is possible to perform long distance flights. An easy flight is south towards Medellín. The wind in the valley increases during the day due thermal activity, but normally there is no danger.

 

Landing (Medium):

 

The official landing site is situated right next to the village of Barbosa. It is a wide, flat field without obstacles. Because of strong wind you should plan your landing well. Especially

because of a river crossing the landing field.
